this is when the blue checkmarks disappear on Twitter
Twitter has chosen April 1 as the day to remove existing blue checkmarks from verified Twitter accounts. To keep the check mark, you can take out a Twitter Blue subscription.
Pay for the blue check mark
It was already known that the blue check mark on Twitter would be part of the paid Twitter Blue subscription. The paid verifications were already discontinued at the end of last year and since then Twitter has stopped processing any new requests for verifications.
The date has now been announced on which the existing blue check marks of verified Twitter accounts will make way for the paid alternative: April 1. To get a tick on your Twitter account after this date, you will have to pay 8 euros per month for a monthly subscription or 7 euros per month for an annual subscription.
Twitter also makes known that the Twitter Blue subscription is now available worldwide. Twitter Blue is also available for the Android version of the Twitter app.
Some benefits of Twitter Blue include the ability to edit tweets, post longer videos, and upload 1080p videos. The subscription also comes with a reading mode, custom navigation, bookmark folders, top articles and more. In addition, subscribers will see 50% fewer ads in the timeline and access to the latest features.
