this is when iOS 17 will be presented
We secretly knew it for a long time, but Apple has now officially confirmed when the keynote of the WWDC23, and therefore the presentation of iOS 17, will take place. Do you have your agenda at hand?
Read on after the ad.
WWDC 2023 keynote
The Worldwide Developers Conference 2023, WWDC23 for short, is Apple’s largest conference for developers. Traditionally, the new operating systems for iPhone, iPad and Mac are revealed here, but Apple often has some surprises in store for us as well. Until now, we only officially knew that WWDC23 would take place from June 5 to June 9. However, the start of WWDC is a big Apple keynote, in which the company extensively discusses all innovations.
The time and date of that keynote was not yet officially known (although Apple experts naturally had some suspicions), but that has now changed. The WWDC 2023 keynote will take place on June 5 at 7 p.m. Dutch time. So put it in your agenda. No seriously! Click or tap the button below and you can add the keynote directly to your personal calendar as an appointment. You will then receive a notification before the event starts.
Expectations iOS 17 presentation
During WWDC, Apple will of course present iOS 17, iPadOS 17, macOS 14 and watchOS 10. The beta versions will appear on the same evening, the final release is in September (iOS, iPadOS, watchOS) and October (macOS).
iOS 17 seems to be dominated by all kinds of personalization options again. For example, it is rumored that you can completely adjust the control panel to your own wishes. So you are no longer stuck with the order that Apple has chosen for all elements, but create your perfect layout yourself.
For iPadOS 17, we mainly expect that the updated lock screen of iOS 16 will now also come to the tablet. For the rest, little is known about innovations.
watchOS 10 is a complete redesign of the operating system. It could very well be that soon nothing will work the way you used to. Fortunately, you have us from iPhoned to explain everything.
We know the least about the new macOS 14. It will no doubt get another name from a California area, but otherwise it’s suspiciously quiet around the Mac operating system. We secretly hope for a version with some stability improvements and few new features. Because macOS Ventura was certainly not Apple’s most stable operating system.
Even more?
Most likely, the WWDC has some more surprises this year. For example, it is quite possible that a new MacBook Air 15-inch with M2 chip will be launched. The old MacBook Air model with a 13-inch screen (and the old design!) may also be updated to the M2 chip.
Much bigger news, however, will be the Apple Reality headset. We’ve been hearing rumors about this for years, but now it’s finally here. For example, Apple has also invited VR experts to WWDC.
