This is what you can expect from a 15-inch MacBook with the M2 chip
Are you interested in a 15-inch wMacBook with the new M2 chip? Then you have to be patient!
Earlier this month, Apple announced the arrival of the M2 chip. It is the second generation of proprietary chips for the brand’s Macs. With the M1, the tech company from Cupertino has shown what they have to offer. And with that you can assume that the M2 is a real powerhouse!
Understandable if you are considering a new MacBook that you would rather have an M2 than an M1. But how long do you have to wait if you also want a larger size? After all, Apple itself says nothing about it. Fortunately, the usually reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo seems to have the answer.
According to the analyst, Apple plans to launch a 15-inch MacBook in the second half of 2023. This laptop comes with the M2 and an unannounced M2 Pro. The latter is the successor to the current M1 Pro. The predictions were shared on Twitter.
In addition to the new chip, the size of the laptop is also big news. Never before has Apple released a 15-inch MacBook as a ‘regular’ laptop. And by that we mean, in the past the larger laptops were exclusive to the Pro series. That doesn’t seem to be the case from next year. If the analyst’s statement is correct, of course.
So you will definitely have to be patient for an M2 15-inch MacBook. If you’re not in a rush, the wait is definitely worth it.
