Samsung Galaxy A54
The Samsung Galaxy A54 will be the successor to the Samsung Galaxy A53. The latter was very similar in design to its predecessor, the Galaxy A52, and was unfortunately only a modest update. Despite this, the Galaxy A53 is, just like its predecessors in the Galaxy A5 line, a phone that scores well in terms of price-quality ratio. It is not for nothing that the smartphone is currently in our buying guide with the best Android smartphones. Still, we were a little disappointed in the device. In terms of specifications, the phone was hardly better, and in some respects even worse than its predecessor. In addition, the design was also not very exciting. Will the Samsung Galaxy A54 change this?

Samsung Galaxy A54: the design
To answer this last question right away: yes, probably. Several images of the Galaxy A54 have surfaced. This shows that Samsung chooses to give the A54 a different design language. The smartphone will have to look a lot like the upcoming flagship of the South Korean manufacturer. This means that the Galaxy A54 will become less angular and separate camera modules will be integrated on the back. The A54 is also rumored to have three separate holes for the cameras on the back. The Galaxy A53 had another single camera bump and had four lenses.
On the other hand, the Galaxy A54 is most likely made entirely of plastic. The smartphone probably has an IP rating of IP67 again. You can see it in the images below.
The images come from the well-known rumor spreader OnLeakshe shared the footage in collaboration with 91mobiles.
Cameras and other specifications
If we look further at the cameras, the Galaxy A54 would be equipped with a 50 MP main camera. The remaining two lenses are probably a wide-angle lens and a macro camera. It is not known which sensors are involved. The A54’s screen is said to be a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. If this is true, the Galaxy A54 is just a bit smaller compared to its predecessor.
The processor of the A54 will have to be an Exynos 7904 chipset, previously a MediaTek processor was considered. Opinions among the rumor spreaders are also divided about the battery, one speaks about a 5100 mAh battery, the other about a 4905 mAh variant. We expect the device early January or February next year. With the new renders and rumors, the Galaxy A54 seems to be a bigger update than previously thought, at least when it comes to the design.
