iPhone SE 2022: we know this
The previous iPhone SE came out in 2020, but it looks like a new one is coming in 2022. We can even expect the iPhone SE 2022 in the first half of 2022, according to Ming-Chi Kuo.
What changes to the screen and design?
The iPhone SE 2022 will probably mainly get the look of the iPhone SE 2020. That means that the smartphone still has a home button. Touch ID is of course also present, but there is no trace of Face ID. In addition, the iPhone SE 2022 has a 4.7-inch LCD display, just like its older brother from 2020. And what is also the same: the 2022 version of the iPhone SE again has 3 GB of RAM.
Which chip will the iPhone SE 2022 get and will the device have 5G?
Probably the most important innovation of the iPhone SE 2022 is the more powerful chip. The rumors indicate that Apple will put the A15 Bionic chip in the new iPhone. This is the same processor as the iPhone 13 series and latest iPad mini.
In addition, the iPhone SE 2022 will probably receive support for 5G. The advantage of 5G is limited at the moment. Internet with 5G only becomes noticeably faster if you have an iPhone with mmWave 5G and the 3.5GHz frequency is released.
This frequency was initially supposed to be auctioned in April 2022, but this has been postponed. It is not yet known when the frequency will now be auctioned to the telecom companies. The iPhone 14 is probably the first in the Netherlands to support the super-fast mmWave frequencies.
What are the improvements to the camera?
Unfortunately, not much is known about the camera of the iPhone SE 2022. There will probably be a single camera on the back of the device, just like with the iPhone SE 2020. We hope that some small improvements will be made, but there are there are no indications that the iPhone SE 2022, for example, will get a dual camera (or even three cameras).
When is the iPhone SE 2022 release?
According to the latest rumors, the iPhone SE 2022 will be released in the first or second quarter of 2022. Looking at the release of the iPhone SE 2016 and iPhone SE 2020, the iPhone SE 2022 should be released around April.
What will the price be?
The price will probably be about the same as the iPhone SE 2020, which was sold for 489 euros. This is the version with 64GB storage. It is not known whether Apple will also give the smartphone 128 gigabytes of storage space. If so, then the price is obviously slightly higher. The expected prices for the iPhone SE 2022 are.

If you are looking for a new iPhone and you want the SE, then you would do well to wait a little longer. You will soon get a better phone for about the same amount of money.
iPhone SE 2023
If you’re looking forward to an iPhone SE with a new design, you’ll have to wait until spring 2023. According to Kuo, the fourth-generation iPhone SE will then appear, with more interesting improvements. For example, the device would get a larger screen, with a more modern design. Reportedly, it resembles the iPhone XR from 2018. Furthermore, the SE from 2023 would have more RAM: 4 GB.
