News is back on WhatsApp. The messaging service will soon come with a number of new functions, about which we have already heard from some. Now we’re getting an idea of the new comments and a new date finder is on the way.
New WhatsApp features in the picture
In the news recently appeared the information about new emoji reactions in WhatsApp. It is a function that we know from Facebook and Instagram Stories, for example. It’s different from just responding with an emoji. Just like with Facebook, the emoji reactions let you ‘like’ a message, as it were. Thanks to Wabetainfo, we now have a better idea of what this will look like.
The screenshot shows the emoji reactions in a group conversation. It is clear that these are not anonymous. Everyone in the conversation can see which emoji is being responded to by someone in a message. It will look like in this screenshot.
Search function with date finder
Another new feature being talked about is the improved search function. The search function would have an option to search by date. It makes it possible to quickly skip to a date. The feature will look (on iOS) like below, but the functionality is coming for Android as well.
