This is what the Final Cut Pro app reveals about the iPhone 15’s camera

Apple has finally announced Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro for the iPad. But one of those apps also tells us something about the new camera of the iPhone 15.

Apple brings Final Cut Pro app to iPad

After years of waiting, Apple has announced that professional editing programs Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro are finally coming to your iPad. The apps were already available for the Mac, but now there is also a mobile version. The programs are intended for editing video and audio files.

The mobile versions of the apps are therefore coming to iPadOS in any case, but meanwhile also reveal something about the new iPhone and iOS 17. Professional camera mode comes to iPhone 15

In Final Cut Pro you can see that a much more extensive settings menu is being added to the Camera app. Here you can adjust certain elements manually, such as the white balance and the colors of the image. With videos it will then be possible to distinguish audio levels and add external microphones.

These are far more options than we’ve seen in Apple’s Camera app. So there is a good chance that this app will be overhauled with the iPhone 15 and will receive a major update in iOS 17. For example, Apple can add a professional camera mode, so that you can edit photos and videos much more extensively. This gives you many more options for image editing.

iPhone 15 gets much better camera

The fact that Apple is also paying attention to the software of the Camera app is in line with previous rumors that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will have a special lens. The phone will have a periscope lens, with which you can zoom in much further than is currently possible with the iPhone 14 Pro, for example. With a completely new camera, a software update for the Camera app cannot be missed.
