This is what it costs if you subscribe to Windows

Windows, but as a subscription. That’s possible with Windows 365 subscriptions and the prices have now been announced by Microsoft.

You may not think about it because your new computer or laptop comes with Windows preinstalled, but the sun rises for nothing. As a separate product, you have to put a lot of money into your pocket to buy Windows 10, for example. Microsoft has devised a cloud solution with Windows 365 and the prices for such a subscription are now also known.

For 18.20 euros per month you can score the cheapest subscription. You then buy a monthly subscription with Windows Hybrid Benefit that is automatically renewed. The cloud solution provides access to a 1 vCPU processor, 2 GB RAM and 64 GB storage. Applicable to very simple tasks such as word processing or mail tracking, but you can’t really call it a serious alternative on a computer.

The most expensive subscription costs 147.50 euros per month. You then get access to an 8 vCPU, 32 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. Look, that’s more like it. There is also a hefty subscription price in return.

Remote access via the cloud

Windows as a subscription is a solution aimed at the business market. You can then log in from home on a computer that is located elsewhere. Think of a computer at work or school. It is a secure way of working remotely with full access to the computer.
