Blizzard President J. Allen Brack resigns -apkrig

Blizzard briefly announced the departure of President J. Allen Brack, who will be replaced by Jen Oneal and Mike Ybarra. Two veterans will be responsible for running the study, which should take care of improving workplace conditions and guarantee safety and fair access for all employees. The change is valid from this moment on and is undoubtedly a reaction to the current case in Activision, King and Blizzard.

Admittedly, the words used in the press release do not sound flattering to the outgoing president.

“I am pleased to announce that Jen Oneal and Mike Ybarra have been appointed Presidents of Blizzard with immediate effect. Jen and Mike will be jointly responsible for the company’s development and operational responsibility, “the press release announces. “Both are great leaders and are deeply committed to ensuring that our workplace is the most inspiring and friendly environment for creative work, and that our highest standards of game development are met,” adds Blizzard. Admittedly, the words used are not flattering to the outgoing president, and J. Allan Brack’s name is mentioned only at the very end, referring to leaving the company and looking for new job opportunities.

The press release largely focuses on highlighting what Oneal and Ybarra represent and what employees and fans around the world can expect from them. Only Oneal has worked in the industry for 18 years, running the Vicarious Visions studio – where a remaster of Diablo II is currently being created – and has been working on the Diablo and Overwatch series inside Blizzard. Mike Ybarra has been in the industry for even longer than Oneal, was directly responsible for the development of the Xbox and related services, including the Game Pass, and was in charge of Battle.net at Blizzard. “I am confident that Jen and Mike, with their many years of industry experience and deep commitment to integrity and an inclusive approach, will lead Blizzard with care, compassion and commitment to excellence,” said a company spokesman.

J. Allen Brack says goodbye after less than three years – he took over the position of company president in October 2018, before whom Blizzard was led by Mike Morhaime for many years.
