this is how you post from your Mac(Book)
It took a long time, but finally you can use Instagram on desktop too. For example, you can post photos and videos from your Mac(Book). It works very simply.
Read on after the ad.
Using Instagram on desktop
Change of course on Instagram. Since October 21, 2021, all users can post from desktop. In the past, Instagram did everything it could to get people to the apps. This is to the annoyance of users, who have been asking for more freedom and functions for some time.
Instagram has finally responded to that. The new function is, for example, a godsend when you are working with Instagram for work. Many people prefer to work from their computer, rather than having to get started via the app.
Here’s how to use Instagram on desktop:
- Go to the Instagram website and possibly log in to your account;
- Tap the plus icon at the top right of the screen;
- Choose the photo or video you want to post on Instagram;
- You can optionally edit the post and/or place a filter over it;
- Give the photo or video a good description and post it.
It has been possible for some time to use Instagram on your desktop or laptop via detours. For example, you could set your browser to ‘responsive’ mode, which made Instagram think you were logging in from your smartphone. There are also several apps and services that allow you to use Instagram on a PC or tablet.
Unfortunately, the function is somewhat limited for the time being. For example, you cannot schedule posts. This is especially unfortunate for influencers, companies and people who work with Instagram professionally.
Done with Instagram?
Do you ever long for the early days of Instagram? Then try Glass. This app reminds you of this in everything. Photography is therefore central, rather than entertainment. You can also delete Instagram completely. You can see how that works in the video below.
