This ingenious trick makes it possible
Many people are currently looking for an alternative to expensive gas heating. Infrared wall heaters have proven to be a good option. These can easily be hung on the wall and thus generate heat. If you want to get the most out of your infrared wall heating, you should do it like my colleague Achim.
Infrared wall heater and TV mount as a perfect combination
Infrared wall heaters are usually simply hung on the wall and radiate heat into the room. The devices should be placed as centrally as possible and not too high. Some people also swear by an installation on the ceiling so that the radiant heat can be optimally distributed in the room. My work colleague Achim implemented an even better idea. He simply attached his infrared wall heater to a TV wall bracket (check it out on Amazon). Just like with a TV, which you turn towards you with the wall bracket when you watch in order to be able to see a perfect picture, you ensure that the heat produced is aimed directly at you and is not lost:
With the TV bracket, the infrared wall heater can be aligned very freely in the whole room. You should always turn the infrared wall heater towards you in order to benefit optimally from the heat produced. The more precisely you direct the heating towards you, the more of it you get and in the end saves energy because you simply get warmer faster. If you don’t use the heater, for example in the summer, then simply hang it on the wall like a picture. Achim also had a nice model printed with his own motif by Könighaus. But you can also choose a ready-made motif.
If you don’t want it to be so conspicuous, there is a very simple solution:
If you install the infrared wall heater in this way, a lower power level will certainly suffice. You then no longer heat the whole room, but only the area where you are.
A balcony power plant can supply part of the energy for an infrared wall heater:
Small project perfect for hobby DIYers
If you want to mount your infrared wall heater on a TV mount, you must first look at which mounting points it offers. Then you have to think about how you can adapt it to the TV mount. Achim took a wooden panel and created a perfect transition that is also safe. Everything was fixed with screws and can be individually aligned.
