This hearing aid competes with Fitbit
Tracking heart rate, counting steps and tracking activities, according to Schoonenberg you don’t need a sports watch or fitness tracker. The provider of hearing aids comes with the Phonak Audéo Fit, a hearing aid that registers all this.
Phonak Audéo Fit hearing aid as a gadget
The Phonak Audéo Fit is, among other things, suitable for sporty hearing-impaired people. Thanks to special sensors, the hearing aid keeps track of heart rate, steps and activities, and the results can be viewed in an app. In addition, personal goals can be set in the app.
The Phonak Audéo Fit has a bluetooth function with which the hearing aid can be connected to, among other things, the smartphone or the TV. You can operate the hearing aid yourself by means of ‘tap control’.
According to Schoonenberg, the Phonak Audéo Fit is not only suitable for sports enthusiasts: ‘Because this device always measures the heart rate, not only during sports, you can also use the app to see which situations give you tension in the app. With this knowledge you can make adjustments to your daily routines’, says Jacques Verzijlbergen, product specialist at Schoonenberg. ‘If you know that there is a link between hearing impairment and health (for example, hearing impaired people are more likely to suffer from burnout and falls) and you have the tools to check this and adjust your lifestyle accordingly, this is of course an enormous gain.’
