The ‘Too Good To Go’ app has been helping you save money and make eco-friendly choices since its last update.

Chances are you’ve already heard of Too Good to Go. With this app you ensure that all kinds of products in catering businesses, bakeries and supermarkets do not end up in the garbage bar. Instead, you can buy them cheaper so that you can score a cheap dinner or lunch yourself.

Many students think that being smart with money and making ecological choices is very important, and Too Good To Go combines both values ​​better than ever since its last update. You can see exactly how many euros you save thanks to the app, but also how many kilograms of CO2 less ends up in the atmosphere.

Saving money and ecologically

First, make sure the app in the Play Store is updated to version 22.8. Then open the app and press ‘Save money’ in the ‘Me’ tab. For each month you can see the number of meals you have saved from the bin. You will also discover the original value of the meals together with the sum you paid. The difference between the two is the amount he saved.

In the ‘I’ tab you can also tap on ‘CO2e saved’, and ‘Co2e’ refers to the ‘carbon dioxide equivalent expressed in kilograms of CO2. Interestingly, you can not only see how many kilograms of CO2 you save, but Too Good to Go also shows other comparisons. For example, how often you can charge your smartphone for the amount of CO2 emitted, but also how many cups of coffee you can drink or how long you can stand under a hot shower.
