These were the most popular baby names of 2021 (with the new number one)

The most popular girl’s name now is *drum roll* Julia. According to the Social Insurance Bank, that name was given to as many as 753 girls in 2021.

Few newcomers

In second place we find Mila, who was chosen 696 times. The Emma name dropped to third place in 2021. Newcomers are Milou and Olivia. As a result, Eva and Liv fall just outside the top ten. The list of popular boys’ names is – with a few minor changes – almost the same as last year. Noah is definitely number one, who was given to 945 (!) boys in the past year. Lucas and Sem complete the top three. The name Luuk makes way for another variant: Luca.
