Rheinmetall on the upswing

The Rheinmetall share stands out among the most traded shares on Smartbroker in January 2023. The so-called “tank deal” between the federal government and Ukraine is likely to play a major role in this. Because: The Bundeswehr has agreed to hand over Leopard tanks to the Ukraine.

Advantage for the Rheinmetall armaments group: The tanks that are being handed over need replacements, with the company contributing cannons and towers, among other things. Rheinmetall has also developed a potential successor to the Leopard 2. The special assets of the Bundeswehr in the amount of 100 billion euros should now also come into play.

Newcomer Microsoft

Nvidia shares fell again in Smartbroker’s ranking of the most traded shares in January 2023. And this despite the fact that the chip developer’s securities increased by more than 30 percent in the past month alone (as of February 6, 2023). The background for the lower trading volume: rather unclear.

Meanwhile, Microsoft stock is on the upswing. And that should be mainly related to the artificial intelligence ChatGPT. Because Microsoft has not only invested another ten billion in the developer company OpenAI, but also integrated the AI software into its Microsoft Teams Premium subscription, among other things.
