These Smart Locks fit best with your Apple Smart Home

Wouldn’t it be nice to never have to carry your house keys with you again? Which can! Because with a smart lock you open the doors of your house with your smartphone. Do you also want to switch to such a modern lock? iPhoned come to the rescue, because these Smart Locks work well with the Apple iPhone and Apple HomeKit.

Read on after the ad.

Smart Locks for Apple iPhone and Smart Home

With a Smart Lock you no longer need house keys. You then use your iPhone (which you always have with you) as a key. You place the smart locks on the inside of the door, so you don’t see on the outside that you have a smart lock.

Another advantage of a smart lock is that you also hand out temporary, virtual keys. Handy if you want to give someone access to look after the cat when you are on vacation. Even if you forgot to lock the door while shopping, there is nothing wrong and you can still do this remotely. You often need an extra WiFi bridge for this, so that the Smart Lock can connect to the internet via your own wireless network at home.

It’s even possible to automatically unlock the door when you’re in the area (or lock it automatically when you leave). Handy, right?

There are different types of smart locks available. Most have support for Apple HomeKit, but there are also Smart Locks that only work with their own app on your iPhone. Well-known brands of Smart Locks include: Nuki, Yale Linus, Tedee, Danalock and Bold. Learn more about Apple HomeKit in our HomeKit guide.

We have looked at five different Smart Locks for Apple iPhone and we also immediately show where they are cheapest.
