Samsung will still be distributing many Android 13 updates in 2022

The Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S21 have been in beta testing of Android 13 and One UI 5.0 for some time. For these smartphones, the release of the major update in 2022 was very certain. Now a reliable source has named other smartphones that should also receive the update in 2022. The following models are considered very safe:

  • Samsung Galaxy S21
  • Samsung Galaxy S22
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4
  • Samsung Galaxy A53

With the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S22 smartphones, the complete series is always meant, i.e. also with Plus and Ultra versions (source: SamMobile). It is a real surprise that Samsung still wants to supply a mid-range smartphone with the Galaxy A53 (test) in 2022. Beta tests have not even started for most of the smartphones mentioned. But that doesn’t have to be the case, because if If the development was carried out on a mobile phone, this can easily be transferred to other models. Accordingly, Samsung will certainly be able to do this this year.

What changes with Android 13:

Samsung’s plans are subject to change

It’s not all set in stone yet. SamMobile assumes that there may even be other smartphones that will receive an update to Android 13 this year. Samsung has greatly improved and accelerated its update policy in recent years. Accordingly, Samsung does not want to hold back anything that cannot be released as soon as possible. At the same time, Samsung has to ensure that the smartphones do not become worse or slower with an update to Android 13. We will inform you when the final updates are rolled out.
