There is news about the new skin of Xiaomi and Poco; MIUI 14. The devices that will receive the update have been announced, and we also see screenshots of the new version of the interface. What can we expect from the new skin?

MIUI 14 update is coming

A new update for Xiaomi and Poco devices is on the way. The update in question is the update to MIUI 14, where the manufacturer will make a number of improvements to its own skin. Thanks to a new leak, we get to see what the developers of the software department are working on.

The notification overview will be expanded with more options, and it will also be possible to remove more pre-installed apps from your smartphone. In the area of ​​privacy, improvements are also planned, such as anti-fraud protection. The gallery app also shows a new ‘On this day’ feature. This allows you to see which photos were taken on a particular day in previous years and there will be a text recognition function. The next version of wireless audio, Bluetooth LE Audio is supported in MIUI 14, and furthermore we see a fresh look for the clock app.

According to the source, there will be no intermediate version in the form of, for example, MIUI 13.5, and so we will go directly from MIUI 13 to MIUI 14. That does not automatically mean that all devices that receive the update are also updated to Android 13, which is sometimes disconnected by manufacturers.

Thanks to the information known so far, it is also clear which devices are updated with the update. Unfortunately, it is not known when the update will appear, but according to reports, the smartphone should be distributed from the end of 2022.
