these hints gives the invitation

It’s that time again on March 8! Apple will then announce a number of new products. There are several hints hidden in the invitation to the Apple event. Here they are (we think).

‘Peek performance’ invite to new Apple event

The next Apple event is coming! On March 8, we will have another virtual ‘tour’ through Apple Park in Cupertino, where the manufacturer will announce all kinds of new gadgets. We think we already know roughly what Apple has in store for us – and the invitation seems to confirm a few things.

Apple always hides secret clues in event invitations. We therefore took a close look at the invitation to the ‘Peek performance’ event. You can read our findings in this article.

1. New Macs with M2 Chip

The colors of the Apple logo on the invitation are very similar to the colors of the iMac 2021. This was the first Mac with Apple Silicon. Apple is rumored to be releasing a number of updates for the Mac during the event on March 8. The Mac mini in particular is frequently mentioned. There might also be an entry-level MacBook Pro in the pipeline.

The arrival of an updated MacBook Air is also plausible. According to several reliable goodies, the new laptop will have white screen edges, a notch and yes, different colors. Chances are that the colors of the new MacBook Air are in line with the colors of the iMac.

Should Apple announce a new MacBook Air, iMac or entry-level MacBook Pro, we’ll most likely find a brand new M2 chip under the hood. Chances are the phrase “Peek performance” refers to this. The M2 chip is faster than Apple’s current M1, but less powerful than the M1 Pro and the M1 Max.

2. Powerful and colorful iPhone SE

The colors may also indicate the new iPhone SE. It is almost certain that Apple will announce this new entry-level iPhone during the event. The current SE 2020 is only available in three colors: white, red and black. The new iPhone SE is rumored to have exactly the same design as its predecessor. New colors provide more distinction between the new and the old model.

However, the biggest changes of the new iPhone SE are mainly on the inside. For example, the smartphone will receive an A15 chip, which we already know from the iPhone 13 series. This makes the iPhone SE more powerful than ever. The new SE will also receive support for lightning-fast 5G internet. Who knows, the phrase ‘Peek performance’ may have to do with this.

3. iPad Air with new colors

Also almost certain is the announcement of a new iPad Air. The tablet hasn’t had an update since September 2020, so it’s about time again. The new iPad Air will probably get an A15 chip, just like the new iPhone SE. The tablet also gets Center Stage. This function is called ‘Middelpunt’ in Dutch and it follows your movements during FaceTime, so that you always get a good picture.

The current iPad Air is already available in different colors. Who knows, Apple might want to bring the colors of the Mac and the iPad Air closer together. ‘Peek performance’ could also refer to the A15 chip again.
