These apps are used by founders of Remazing

In the “Homescreen!” series we present the homescreens of people from the social media, marketing, media and tech industries – including app recommendations and tips for everything from to-do lists to small games in between. Today: Hannes Detjen, Founder & Managing Director of amazing.

In addition to the classic apps that everyone probably has on their smartphone anyway, for me as a passionate bicycle and Vespa driver and generally as a native of Hamburg, the RainToday app particularly important. So I can always check directly in the morning how weatherproof I have to dress so that I don’t arrive at the office soaking wet.

I would describe myself as very organized, which is why I do so in everyday life Evernote (for Android) for my notes. I just love the practical folder system of the app. I use it daily for my work at Remazing Google Drive (for Android), Slack (for Android) and Trello (for Android).

Apps in everyday work

For us, these apps have become indispensable in our everyday work, as we use Drive for our documents and Slack for fast communication internally and with customers. The tool for task and project management is, I think, Trello.

This allows us to keep an overview in the team of who is where with their tasks and everyone is always up to date. LinkedIn (for Android) I use mostly as a business network platform to keep up to date.

Hannes Detjen has banned Instagram and Facebook

I banned the classic social media apps like Instagram, Facebook and Co. from my home screen to discipline myself a little, because I quickly realized that they take up an incredible amount of time. So I only spend about 20 minutes a week on social media.

Because of my job, I check Amazon all the more often for new products and other marketplaces for which we are currently working on integrations in our Remdash tool. An absolute must for me is also the Trade Republic app (for Android).

There I always have the current brand developments of our listed customers such as Beiersdorf, Henkel and Leifheit at a glance. In the Kickbase app (for Android) we have a small team as a group of managers, where we play intensive games together.

What I shouldn’t be without, of course, are the classic news apps, so that I’m always up to date. For general reporting, I inform myself in the mirror app (for Android). I like to read everything about economics in the Handelsblatt app (for Android).

the New York Times (for Android) I like to read in order to stay up to date internationally, because with Remazing we are an international provider of services and software solutions.

Last but not least I have apps like Shazam (for Android) and Spotify (for Android) always at hand. My great passion is music and I play the piano and trumpet myself, so I use them almost every day.
