These 5 phrases damage your career
That’s the thing about beliefs: they can move us forward or they can stop us. I’ve heard a lot of empty phrases in my career and I’ve always had my own thoughts about them. These five tips didn’t stand up to my personal test. What’s your opinion?
A sentence that is often trumpeted by anxious people. Above all, they are afraid of making mistakes. The motto: Only do what you can and what is required of you. However, it is also clear that you will not make a great development like this.
The truth is that you will mainly learn from mistakes. So if you are brave and try new things, if you fight for them to happen, you will continue to develop – regardless of whether success or failure awaits at the end. Those who are not prepared to do so remain in the middle ground.
Above all, the bad thing about this sentence is that it suggests that work should not be fun. Where this is the case, however, all motivation and enthusiasm fizzle out immediately. Of course, there are always tasks that are annoying and still have to be done.

In this country, the belief still prevails that you should always be diligent, but not talk about your results. Otherwise, whoever wins is seen as a show-off. If you lose, you’d be pretty stupid to talk about it too much. And now once and for all: This is nonsense!
Anyone who has success or failure is allowed to talk about it. On the one hand, this is important so that other colleagues can also benefit from the knowledge. On the other hand, it is an advantage for your career if you are perceived as a competent contact person.
