iOS 15 gives your AirPods 5 new features

1. Read messages and notifications
AirPods can already read notifications and even complete messages from WhatsApp or other chat services. 2. Spatial Audio on Mac and Apple TV
If you have the AirPods Pro or AirPods Max, you already enjoy Spatial Audio when you listen to Apple Music. This spatial sound is also available when you watch movies or series on your iPhone or iPad. As of iOS 15, this Dolby Atmos experience is finally coming to the Apple TV and Mac. The sound will soon come to all your devices from all sides.
3. Conversation boost
People with hearing problems can use the AirPods Pro from iOS 15 to amplify voices. That makes it easier to have a conversation. ‘Conversation boost’ is a variation of the Transparency mode, which you activate, for example, when you are on your bike and want to hear the traffic well.
Conversation boost can also be a solution for people without hearing problems. This way you can still talk to someone if you are on a busy train, for example.
4. Easier to find with ‘Find My’ app
It becomes a lot more difficult from iOS 15 to lose your AirPods Pro or AirPods Max. Your iPhone will soon let you know not only that you have lost them, but also where the devices are. You can easily find them with Bluetooth via the ‘Find My’ app. This makes AirPods a bit like the AirTag, Apple’s bluetooth tracker. However, the location determination is slightly less accurate. You can also get a warning if you forget your AirPods somewhere.
5. Automatically pair AirPods to Apple TV
AirPods can already automatically switch between your iPhone, iPad, and Mac. iOS 15 adds the Apple TV. If you watch a video on your iPhone and then switch to your Apple TV, the AirPods will just follow you. This is very handy, because you don’t have to pair the earbuds again and again.
When can we expect new AirPods?
With iOS 15, Apple is bringing quite a few fresh features to the AirPods. However, it is unknown when the company will release new models. However, the mass production of the AirPods 3 has already started. A release later this year seems likely. The AirPods 3 will probably get a new design that resembles the current AirPods Pro.
