Some users are experiencing an annoying bug after updating watchOS 9.5 on their Apple Watch. We will tell you what is going on and give you a (temporary) solution!

Bug in watchOS 9.5 for Apple Watch

For some Apple Watch owners, it was a bit of a shock: after the watchOS 9.5 update, the screen had suddenly turned green. The smartwatch otherwise worked normally, only the screen had been given a green tint.

Good news, because several users with the problem have since found out that you can get the green screen back to normal by activating the ‘Sleep’ mode on your Apple Watch.

Note: you will no longer receive notifications and the screen will be dimmed. But it does show that the problem is a software bug and can be fixed by Apple.

To turn on Sleep mode on your Apple Watch, swipe your finger up from the bottom of the Apple Watch screen. Then tap the icon with the moon. Then choose the option ‘On’. To turn off sleep mode, repeat the steps above again.

There’s more good news, as the same users say the issue has been resolved with watchOS 9.6 beta. Unfortunately, that is not the case for everyone. That’s why Apple needs to take a closer look. Are you affected by this watchOS 9.5 bug? Then there is nothing to do but wait a little longer.
