There will be no successor to this Apple computer

If you’re hoping for a successor to the 27-inch iMac, we’ll have to disappoint you. That’s not in it.

Apple computers such as the Mac Mini, the MacBooks and the more recent iMac have plenty of future. But not every model variant is guaranteed to last. The American tech company often cuts its range. Waiting one hundred percent for a possible successor is therefore not always the smartest thing. Because if there is no successor, there is a chance that a product will suddenly disappear from the range. And then you have to rely on stock models.

In that case, you’d better get a 27-inch iMac if you really want to score one. Because a successor is not in the pipeline, 9to5Mac reports. After the presentation of the new Mac Studio and the Studio Display, the curtain has fallen on the largest iMac. This means that the iMac with a 24-inch screen is currently the largest model with a future.

The iMac 27-inch is no longer available through Apple itself. You are dependent on specialists or electronics stores that still sell the model. This means that the top model under the iMac has never received or will have the M1 chip. Since the switch to proprietary chips, Apple has been getting thinner and thinner if you still want to buy a computer with an Intel processor. With the disappearance of the large model, it is no longer possible to order a single iMac with Intel through Apple.
