‘There is hardly any time for myself’

You can google as much as you have a child, but you only learn the truth about parenting in practice. With your lukewarm risotto at the dining table, for example, or when you’re drowning in the laundry.
Sharon (35): “Time has been a great asset since I became a mother. There is hardly any time for myself anymore, I am actually always racing. Bringing children to school, washing and oh yes, also working in between. Sometimes I wish my days had 48 hours. I see shopping without Rosa (1) and Jasmijn (7) as a moment of rest for myself. Little underestimated
Franke (45): “I could never have estimated how much work it is to combine the household with my children, Puk aged 10 and Olle aged 8, with a job. Especially those mountains of laundry. Someone should have told me that beforehand, then I would have saved for my children’s first ten years for a laundry service with home delivery.”
