There are two new ways to control music on YouTube on your mobile

Google is releasing it for wider use now two new ways to control music from the YouTube platform on Android smartphones. One concerns the classic application, the other the YouTube Music variant. In the first case, a Premium account is needed, in the second probably not.

The classic YouTube app gets new panel “Listening controls” (listening control), which simplifies operation directly below the playing video. When you tap a new menu, the bottom area of ​​the screen is covered by an area that contains only several magnified controls.

These include play / pause, skip to the previous or next track, ten-second forward or backward and like buttons, add content to the library, and set the playback speed. The novelty is gradually being introduced to premium users.

YouTube Music is definitely on offer again new control widget “Recently Played” (recently played) to the mobile desktop. Its basic size is 5 × 2 tiles, while in the first line it offers the name of the song being played, the option to like it and the play / pause button. The second line is available in this form five tiles with quick selection recently played songs, playlists or albums.

However, the size of the widget can be changed, which also affects the number of items. The widget was listed on YouTube Music 4.55.55, but it is probably activated by the server.
