The unofficial sequel to Dark Souls will be released in December -apkrig

If you can’t wait for the Elden Ring to be released, we have one great tip for you. At the end of this year – specifically on December 21, which coincidentally is exactly one month before the release of the news from FromSoftware – an unofficial sequel to the first part of Dark Souls will be released. The project, which has been created in a group of 11 enthusiasts since 2019, is subtitled Nightfall and has only the highest possible ambitions. The team around the authors of the Grima and AinTuneze modifications uses most of the graphic assets directly from the authors of the Dark Souls, but they build a completely new backdrop from them and surround them with their own original story.

The project made itself known loudly in February, when the authors were finally able to show the world what they were working on. The nearly twenty-minute demonstration garnered tens of thousands of mostly positive responses, and the community – hungry for any information about the Elden Ring at the time – was keen to look forward to it. The newly released release date then commemorates what Dark Souls: Nightfall stands for and entices fans to follow the progress of the work even closer on the official website.

As indicated above, the authors use the original graphics, but they do not do so with the vision of making their work easier, but to stay within the given limits as authentic as possible. However, it is important to mention that Nightfall, as a modification, will be compatible only with the remastered, not the original version of Dark Souls, which the authors explain with reference to the technical limits that the basic version from 2011 could impose on them. At the same time, they reassure all players that it will be a purely single-player affair that will be disconnected from online servers, so there will be no restrictions from FromSoftware for possible modification. alive title.

The content of Nightfall will be a completely new story and the game world, a number of new weapons beyond the scope of the katana, which was presented most often, as well as many partial modifications, including the basic combat mechanisms. In this respect, Nightfall should offer a more agile duel, which, on the other hand, should not significantly betray the legacy to which the planned sequel follows. In addition, the authors have gone so far as to modify the ratios by preparing dubbing for some NPCs and also taking care of side quests to make the game full.
