The Trilogy appeared in South Korea -apkrig
The speculated improved trilogy of The Grand Auto Auto has once again reached the sights of fans and the media. This time thanks to an entry in the database of the South Korean rating committee, which has repeatedly proven to be a credible source of similar information. We have another very specific clue and an indication that the official announcement of the project is about to fall. The novelty appears in the record under the name Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition and is signed by Take-Two Interactive. The title is for adults only, so everything matches.
The remastered games of Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City and San Andreas should be released next year, although originally even speculated about the end of this year. According to Kotak, the project is almost complete and is being created primarily in the Rockstar Dundee studio, a rebranded Ruffian Games team that Rockstar acquired in October 2020. They also help with GTA V for the PS5 and Xbox Series. But they are helped by other studios under the heading Take-Two.
Fans are more concerned about how far developers will go in terms of changes and improvements. Under the term remaster, each company imagines something a little different.
The collection is said to be aimed at PCs, old and new consoles, Switch, the Stadia streaming service, as well as mobile phones and tablets. But consoles should have priority. Kotaku’s original unofficial news was also confirmed from its own resources by the well-informed Video Games Chronicle magazine. Later, the Gematsu website also joined. And then a trustworthy insider and leaker Tom Henderson, who was the first to point to 2022.
In connection with this project, it is worth mentioning that Take-Two Interactive has previously announced that they plan to release three unannounced remasters of previously released games this year, which would correspond to the speculated collection. For a long time, the company did not show interest in a similar project. Fans are more concerned about how far developers will go in terms of changes and improvements. Under the term remaster, each company imagines something a little different.
The players were also interested in Take-Two’s increased interest in all sorts of community projects and modifications, the authors of which began to face more pressure and restrictions than before.
According to Kotak, remasters should use the Unreal Engine again and mix old and new graphics. One of the sources allegedly saw the novelty in action and reminded him of the much-modified classic GTA. The interface is also improved, but it should have a classic style. In terms of gameplay, the games are said to be true to the originals. But none of this has been officially confirmed.
The players were also interested in Take-Two’s increased interest in all sorts of community projects and modifications, the authors of which began to face more pressure and restrictions than before. This would also indicate that the company is going to release an official improved version and does not want anything to “stand in its way”. The Switch version is particularly popular, as only the first two parts, Grand Theft Auto Advance and Chinatown Wars, have been available on Nintendo platforms so far.
Who does it
The Rockstar Dundee team was called Ruffian Games until last year, when it was bought by Rockstar. They created Crackdown 2 and helped with Crackdown 3. In addition, the same team should assist in the development of next-gen versions of GTA V, which are due to be launched on November 11 this year. After all, they have experience with remasters. They also participated in Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
