The top German artists in retrospect for 2022

Spotify traditionally publishes its annual review “Spotify Wrapped” at the beginning of December – and this year as well. In our weekly ranking, we show you which ten artists Germans have listened to the most in the past few months.

Spotify users also notice that the year is coming to an end when the Swedish Musk streaming service releases its popular year in review Spotify Wrapped released.

Included revealed the company not only knows which artists, albums, songs and podcasts were the most popular. With wrapped hub Spotify also offers different top lists and playlists with global and national streaming highlights.

Spotify Wrapped: The top artists in an international annual review

Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny is the world’s most-streamed artist for the third year in a row with more than 18.5 billion streams. This makes him the first artist to ever do this. Taylor Swift is second.

The most streamed song of 2022 on Spotify is Harry Style’s international hit “As It Was” with more than 1.6 billion streams worldwide. Bad Bunny not only secures first place among the top artists – his album “Un Verano Sin Ti” is the most internationally successful album of the year.

Despite controversy, the Spotify exclusive podcast “The Joe Rogan Experience” is again at the top of the international podcast charts.

Spotify year in review 2022: The top artists in Germany

In the past year, Germans have listened to both national and international artists. What is striking, however, is that the list consists almost exclusively of rappers. In the following ranking we show you which artists were streamed the most in this country and how many monthly listeners they have.

10th place: T-Low

The German rapper T-Low comes in tenth among the top artists in Germany. Overall he comes up 2,734,360 monthly listeners: inside.
