The Sony LinkBuds look really cool (and are useful too)

Sony has officially presented its new wireless earbuds. The Sony LinkBuds are particularly striking because of the design. The ring-shaped design resembles a donut and ensures that the LinkBuds can be used in many ways. Are you curious? Read everything about the Sony LinkBuds in this article.

The Sony LinkBuds: business and playful

You probably know the Japanese electronics brand Sony from its refrigerators, telephones or cameras. But did you know that they also make great wireless earplugs? The new Sony LinkBuds are separate, but fine earphones. While most modern earbuds are only too happy to completely shut you off from the world, Sony hopes to achieve the opposite with these earbuds: the donut-shaped rings let you hear the ambient noise clearly.

Although the LinkBuds are mainly intended for the business market, they are also very nice for you if you still want to hear the traffic on your bike, for example. Sony has also focused on a good microphone. An AI in the earbuds analyzes your voice and that of your conversation partner and makes it more intelligible. This makes the LinkBuds nice earphones for important phone calls.

Unlike the AirPods Pro and the AirPods Max from Apple, the Sony LinkBuds do not have noise cancellation. An algorithm does measure the ambient noise and automatically adjusts the volume of your song, podcast or phone call. Because they leave your ear canal free with this design, you always hear the music and everything around you loud and clear. The LinkBuds are made from recycled material.

You cannot operate the earplugs via direct touches, but by tapping on your own temple. Sensors measure how often (and for how long) you do this. Then, for example, they fast forward to the next song or adjust the volume. With this trade-off, Sony ensures that the LinkBuds fit well in your ear and do not protrude too far.

With these new earplugs from Sony it is possible to listen to music for 5.5 hours. Is the battery empty? Then you can add another 12 hours of listening pleasure via the battery of the storage box. Are you at home and in a hurry, but the LinkBuds are empty? If you charge them for ten minutes, they will last another hour and a half.

Sony insures all its headsets with 360 Reality Audio. This means that the music is stored in a 3D sound field and the earphones offer an excellent stereo experience. The speak to chat function makes the music stop when you start talking. The earbuds also automatically pause your podcast or song when you remove them from your ear. For 180 euros the Sony LinkBuds come in white or gray with an IPX4 certification. This means they are not completely waterproof, but they can withstand a few drops of sweat or drizzle.
