The Samsung Galaxy A72 receives an August security patch

Company Samsung Over the past year, it has significantly improved its software support and brings security updates often in advance. An example is Samsung Galaxy A72, which receives the August security patch during June. The information was provided by the portal SamMobile.

The update was distributed by a manufacturer in Eastern Europe

The Samsung Galaxy A72 is the highest middle-class model that the South Korean giant launched this year. It was introduced with the Samsung Galaxy A52, which already received an August security patch this week. Now it’s time for a larger model that just recently received an update with enhancements for QuickShare, Gallery, and Camera.

The new update is labeled A725FXXU3AUG2 and is currently available in Russia, Ukraine and surrounding countries. It should appear in the European Union in the coming days. Samsung has not yet specified what security flaws and risks the update in Android 11 and the One UI 3.1 extension fixes.

The update is available in the form of an OTA update and the system should notify you of its availability automatically by notification. However, you can also verify it manually in the section Settings -> Software Update -> Download and Install. Before installation, make sure that your smartphone battery is at least 70% charged.

How is the competition?

The Chinese company Xiaomi started last month with the distribution of the MIUI 12.5 superstructure for the flagship model Xiaomi Mi 11. Another Chinese company Huawei brought a security patch for the Huawei Mate 40 Pro, Mate 40 Pro + and Huawei Mate 40 Porsche Design smartphones. Motorola recently began distributing Android 11 for models Motorola moto g 5G plus a Motorola razr 5G.

There was also a young Realme brand, which updated the Realme 6 Pro and 7 Pro smartphones to the latest version of the system. Owners are already enjoying Android 11 Nokia 4.2. And the Honor 9x and 9X Pro smartphones received a security update a few weeks ago. Last week, a cheap Nokia 1.3 smartphone was also updated on Android 11.
