The recalled authors of Bloodlines 2 began to release -apkrig
The Hardsuit Labs studio began layoffs after the team was fired from Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, as recently announced by its publisher, Paradox Interactive. The first developers who lost their jobs as a result of this change began to respond. The dismissals are primarily for people who worked on the story. But not only them.
People are already looking for a new job
For example Samantha Wallschlaeger, who worked as a lead narrative designer, joined the team only in October. She has already confirmed on Twitter that she is looking for a new place. I’m like that Nicole Stanford or Anna C. Webster. Producers are also leaving Austin Maestre a Markus Azeltine. Most of the news was obviously taken by surprise.
It is not yet clear exactly how many people will have to leave Hardsuit Labs. The opinion of the management is awaited. Maybe it won’t break the team’s neck completely. The situation is somewhat reminiscent of the moment when the German studio Yager lost the development of Dead Island 2 from Deep Silver’s decision. Even then, it almost meant the end for the company.
And what’s next?
Seattle, an independent studio based in Seattle, was founded in 2015. Its authors have previously participated in many other successful games. The team created the game Blacklight: Retribution. In January 2018, Paradox gained a third of the team. In addition to the delays, Bloodlines 2 also touched on the departure of screenwriter Chris Avelllon. He had to leave after allegations of sexual harassment, and Paradox said his work would be removed from the game.
Paradox announced a surprising news about the withdrawal of developers and the postponement of the game at least until next year last week. He also suspended pre-orders for Bloodlines 2. But he has not yet revealed who will finish the game. You can find more details about the rotation itself in our older article.
