The Nvidia Shield TV changes its interface and is inspired by Google TV
The Nvidia TV Shield evolves from today with an interface which takes over that of Google TV in broad outline. The main element is the arrival of a new Discover section. As we can imagine from the name, it allows you to discover content.
The Discover section is located next to the Home and Applications sections. It offers an overview of content from a variety of sources, making it easy to quickly discover titles that might interest you. The content is organized by genre, the same way it appears in popular entertainment apps like Netflix and Prime Video. The content will also be suggested dynamically, based on the previous viewing history.
By itself, Nvidia does not offer Google TV per se on Shied TV. But the group was greatly inspired by it. Users therefore have the right to a new interface without the need for them to apply any update. Indeed, Nvidia takes care of everything and says that the change is being rolled out.
The Google TV equivalent on the Shield TV debuted in France, the United States, Canada, Germany and Australia. According to Nvidia, the rollout is expected to be completed by Thursday of next week. It is therefore possible that you do not yet have it. As for availability in other countries, Nvidia said nothing for now.
