The new Xbox browser will make the Stadium or GeForce Now -apkrig available
He was on the green wave of the Xbox last night. At one point, Microsoft released updates not only for its consoles, but also for mobile and computer applications. The reason why we write about otherwise relatively routine matters is, of course, hidden in the number of new features and improvements that individual updates come with, although we will focus mainly on the console. They are preparing for the arrival of a new official wireless headset, offer a new option to turn on or off the automatic fps and HDR boost function for older titles in backward compatibility and at the same time open the door for a more robust web browser, which according to the first responses can comfortably handle games from the Stadium or through GeForce Now.
But let’s start with the automatic enhancement of older titles. First of all, it is important to remember that this is not a universal solution for the entire backward compatibility program and the function is only available for selected titles. As Microsoft said earlier, it applies to Far Cry 4, New Super Lucky’s Tale, Sniper Elite 4, UFC4 and Watch Dogs 2, but so far players have had to accept the improvements, even if they don’t like them for some reason. However, Microsoft is now changing this by adding a simple menu in the settings of the mentioned titles, where it is possible to switch the automatic HDR and the increase of the frame rate off and on. “Choice is extremely important, especially when it comes to playing your favorite games,” says Microsoft, adding that the game must be restarted with each change in settings.
At the same time, Microsoft confirms that the paired headphones will offer an automatic wireless update function, which could bring new or improved functions in the future.
As for the new wireless headset, it won’t be launched until March 16 – which, with a price of around CZK 2,600, also applies to the Czechia – but Microsoft is already making room for it in the Xbox interface. With the new Xbox Accessory app, you’ll be able to more carefully adjust the equalizer, bass, auto-on and mute sensitivity, or adjust the power of the LED that indicates microphone activity. At the same time, Microsoft confirms that the paired headphones will offer an automatic wireless update function, which could bring new or improved functions in the future. Logically, the headphones will logically be able to fully communicate with the computer, however, to take full advantage of the potential offered, Microsoft states that it is necessary to update the appropriate application on Windows 10.

However, Microsoft has heard the call of the community, currently offered the function to selected players and expects that, for example, including leaderboards from specific games, others will reach it in the coming months. This should also apply to the redesigned browser, which was written about a few days ago in connection with a closed alphaversion, to which members of the Alpha Skip-Ahead group were invited. It is an improved Edge browser based on the Chromium project, which is to offer a full-fledged computer-like experience.
Mouse and keyboard support is just the tip of the iceberg, when early testers began to find that the new Edge would allow the Stadie or GeForce Now web applications to run, and most likely the xCloud web application in the future. As a result, you will be able to play PC games on the Xbox at once, or run the latest titles from the xCloud-compatible Game Pass menu on the older Xbox One. Unfortunately, it is not known at this time when the new Edge will be available, but due to the inclusion for testing, it would not take long.
