The new Indiana Jones can take us to fascist Italy -apkrig

Of course, when we focused extensively on the new activities of Lucasfilm Games in the morning, especially in the field of Star Wars games, we also took a bite of the new Indiana Jones. Although Bethesda herself, as a publisher, warned that it might take some more details, it’s worth summarizing the known facts and supplementing them with a variety of theories and hypotheses that rely largely on the first short teaser. As expected, it contains many clues and traces.

In addition to the indispensable props, such as a hat and a whip, there are various books, documents, a compass, some photographs, a passport “issued” by Bethesda, a MachineGames typewriter or a Lucasfilm camera.

First, let’s recap the basics. The Swedish studio MachineGames is working on the game, which has new parts of the Wolfenstein series. The executive producer of the game is Todd Howard, but Pete Hines of Bethesda assuredthat his priority is to lead the games Starfield and The Elder Scrolls VI. As an executive producer, Howard also oversees other Bethesda titles and a television adaptation of Fallout. It is also worth mentioning the fact that Jens Andersson, co-author of the titles The Darkness, The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay or Enclave, participates in the game. We do not yet know the target platforms of the new Indiana Jones, and we have no idea whether they will be affected by the ongoing acquisition of ZeniMax Media, which is being purchased by Microsoft.

So let’s take a closer look at the mentioned trailer. In it we can watch the table of Indiana Jones, who is preparing for his next expedition. In addition to the indispensable props, such as a hat and whip, there are various books, documents, a compass, some photographs, a passport “issued” by Bethesda, a MachineGames typewriter or a Lucasfilm camera. Most of these things seem to be just for effect, but in reality there are some probable indications of what awaits us, even though the video is not exactly optimal for such research.

For example, a ticket to Rome on October 21, 1937 and a map of the Vatican suggest that we look at the Italian capital. He also mentions a written letter in the machine, which is addressed to a priest. Indiana Jones himself is probably in it writesthat he will arrive in Rome. The term is also important. Fans deduce that the game will be set after the film Conquerors of the Lost Ark and before the events of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

Fans also point out that the classic struggle with the Nazis may not be missing in this work, they may only be replaced by Italian fascists led by Benito Mussolini, who collaborated with Adolf Hitler. In 1937 also Mussolini he received in Libya, the so-called Sword of Islam, a ceremonial weapon through which he claimed to be the protector of Muslims. It is speculated (!) That Indy might be striving for her, even if it is not a traditional artifact in the true sense of the word. Fans were also interested in the literature in the teaser, which could be connected again with mysterious stone figures and buildings in Italy. The story might as well relate to some biblical and religious themes as much older ancient legends.

On the other hand, there is also one “theory” that has already been refuted. Fans have speculated that Todd Howard recently he teased Indy for the video because he had a number of items related to this series. But how is Pete Hines of Bethesda he explained, Howard is a longtime Indiana Jones fan and he just owns these things and has them on display. After all, who wouldn’t want to have the Ark of the Covenant at home…

As we wrote this morning, Lucasfilm Games Vice President Douglas Reilly praised the opportunity to work with Todd Howard as executive producer for the game in an interview with StarWars.com. Reilly reportedly wanted to make a new Indiana Jones for a long time, but they didn’t have the right partner and idea. Todd Howard is said to have a unique vision and unique idea for Indiana Jones. According to Reilly, the story and concept that Bethesda offered is amazing and can’t wait to share it. According to Reilly, he loves Star Wars and making Star Wars games, but it’s been a really long time since they’ve done Indy, which makes him even happier.
