The new Gorilla Glass DX slides will begin to protect mobile cameras
As announced in April this year, Korean giant Samsung and US company Corning will continue to work closely together to develop and introduce toughened Gorilla Glass into the world of electronics. And as it turns out, the results really aren’t just about the durability of cell phone displays. Previously introduced standards Gorilla Glass DX a DX+, which have so far been given the opportunity, for example, just above the screens of the Galaxy Watch from 2018, are advancing to a new level. Samsung will be the first to start equipped in this way slides also protect mobile cameras.

It was important for such use that Corning was able to fine-tune the light transmission through the slide. At the moment, it should be 98%, which is said to be enough for the maximum quality of photos in the balance of optical possibilities and durability. As a result, it means that cameras will be much better protected without compromising their ability to shoot. It is not yet clear which Samsung phones the novelty should cover. However, due to the timing of the message, it could be the following “puzzles” from the Galaxy Z Flip and Z Fold series.
