The Netherlands has 3 best mobile providers in the world: study 2023

Research bureau Umlaut and Connect Magazine have again investigated the quality of the Dutch mobile networks. The Dutch providers are doing good business again this year.

KPN scores exceptionally high

This year, research agency Umlaut conducted research into the quality of Dutch mobile networks for the eighth time. The company does this in several ways, for example by testing while driving by car and by train. But also while walking and in urban areas, extensive testing is carried out on data speed, quality of the connection and accessibility. The research also looks at latency and upload and download speeds.

KPN won this year and achieved the highest score ever for a mobile network in the test. The company achieved 980 points out of 1000 and can therefore call itself the best mobile provider in the world. In second place we find T-Mobile with a score of 969 followed by Vodafone with 963 points.

If we take a closer look at the details, KPN scores best in the category data, crowdsourcing and also achieves the best result in the reliability category. In the category of telephone calls, it scores equal to T-Mobile. Vodafone is in a solid third place in our country, but, the research agency writes; “Vodafone has shown the most improvements in the past year and scores 25 points more this year than last year.”
