The new Echo Show 15 is now available from Amazon. Equipped with a large display, Alexa support and automatic person recognition, the smart display should be as successful as its predecessor.
New Echo Show 15 for 249.99 euros at Amazon
After the huge success of the Echo Show 10, Amazon now has one larger and extended variant presented for the German market. The smart display can be pre-ordered now, with delivery from February 17, 2022. Although the display has grown, the price remains the same compared to the Echo Show 10, which means 249.99 euros.
According to the manufacturer, the new Echo Show helps “to organize everyday family life, to stay connected and to be entertained”. Fit revised Alexa widgets, which are constantly updated and can be customized.
The highlight of the display for the wall is the screen itself, which is placed on a diagonal of 15.6 inches and resolves with Full HD. The smart display from Amazon can be mounted in portrait or landscape format or placed on a separately available stand. The integrated webcam allows photos to be taken with up to 5 MP. The camera has an integrated cover and the microphone can also be switched off if required.

About the new “Visual ID” The display automatically recognizes who is in front of the Echo Show 15 and displays relevant information. Amazon states that images required for the “visual ID” are encrypted and processed exclusively on the device. Alternatively, people can also be recognized by voice, as Amazon explains in a press release.

With the streaming option, the Echo Show 15 serve as a small television. Videos from Netflix, Prime Video and the German media libraries can be shown on the smart display in full HD resolution.
