The MIUI superstructure receives further improvements

Xiaomi will soon introduce a new version of its superstructure – MIUI 13, but until then it continues to improve the current version. This time, it has improved the design of default application settings and also added the ability to change default applications to open documents. The Xiaomiadictos portal informed about the news.

The novelty is currently only available for Chinese ROM

The novelty appeared in the latest beta version of the superstructure, specifically in version 21.6.30. As it is a beta version of the Chinese ROM, this feature will probably not reach the global version until MIUI 13. In addition to being given a new design, this part of the settings also offers the ability to change default applications when opening spreadsheets, presentations, text and PDF files.

What changes will MIUI 13 bring?

It is not yet known what innovations and changes the new superstructure will bring. However, it is expected to bring more visual changes, including new animations and an improved Always On display. The notification bar, gestures, and fast charging efficiency should also be improved. Optimizing performance and battery life must not be missing either.

Xiaomi has not officially confirmed which models will receive the new superstructure, but we expect it to be these devices. In addition to the latest models from the Mi 11 and Redmi Note 10 series, devices from the Mi 10, Redmi Note 9 series and possibly also some models from the Mi 9 series should also receive an update. Poco and BlackShark smartphones are also on the list.
