The Matrix Resurrections turns out to be a hard setback
According to many, it is a waste of money to see The Matrix Resurrections in the cinema. Wow, that sounds like harsh criticism.
The undersigned has not seen the fourth part of The Matrix. As many others will agree with me, part one was the absolute best. The trilogy ended with two more films and that was it. Until rumors surfaced that there would be a fourth film. And that fourth film, The Matrix Resurrections, is now in theaters.
Cool, relive old times with The Matrix. At least, that’s the thought everyone had. But in the last few days that the film has been shown in cinemas, that sentiment has completely changed on social media. It is also raining criticism on sites for film lovers. The respected IMDb currently has a painful 5.9/10 stars for The Matrix Resurrections. And that after 50,000 votes. So it is not a small group that is dissatisfied with the fourth part of The Matrix.
The Matrix Resurrections trailer
Lots of flashbacks. Not a convincing story. A script that rattles on all sides. The fact that not both Wachowskis, but only Lana Wachowski directed the film. They are all indicators that together form the opinion of thousands of people that The Matrix Resurrections is definitely not what it should be. If you know that part four is a setback, you can do two things. Go to the cinema with little expectation, or leave it for what it is and cherish your memories of the original. Your author does the latter.
