Recycle tree
The sale of Christmas trees has been a tradition for years at Landgoed Duivenvoorde. With a wheelbarrow and a shovel looking for a beautiful fir, and then dig out the tree with the children. After the holidays you can return the Christmas tree with root ball. This way it can last for another year.

On the irons
In the Open Air Museum in Arnhem you can see with your own eyes how people in the Netherlands used to live. In December and January there is a special winter program with a cozy winter market and a magical light route through the museum park.
Sing along in the Concertgebouw
Especially for toddlers and preschoolers, there is a sing-along concert in the Concertgebouw with the most beautiful well-known Christmas songs. There are also great performances for older children, such as Peter en de Wolf (6+) and Jazz on recipe (8+). Order your tickets online.

With winter songs, performances, all kinds of treats and a lot of cozy lights and lanterns, you will celebrate a magical Christmas in the fairytale park.

Even in the caves it is Christmas

Not only the cozy streets of Valkenburg in Limburg are full of Christmas stalls, the caves are also enveloped in Christmas atmosphere. Very special. Don’t miss the train
Fire between the trains, lights and decorated Christmas trees everywhere. During the Winter Station, you can roast your own marshmallows over a fire and enjoy a warm oliebol. The Railway Museum in Utrecht has a fun program full of winter children’s activities during the Christmas holidays. Winter Station is open from December 19, 2020 to January 3, 2021.
Winter party
The inhabitants of the Fairytale Forest make it a party during the dark months. In the Efteling, the snow-covered pine trees are illuminated by countless lights. And there is more fun: singing along to winter songs, watching the water show and warming up by the bonfires in the Warm Winter Meadow.
