The earlier films were a huge success. Now there is a sequel and starting tomorrow you can watch a full trailer. In the meantime, get a first look at the new images in this interactive teaser. Obviously you get a choice and you know the deal: do you take the red or blue pill?

The teaser can be found by going to thechoiceisyours.whatisthematrix.com. Funny domain name, because it’s a smart way to use the original domain from the 90s. There you can choose between the two pills. And so two different versions of the teaser. The red pill offers a glimpse of star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. Which apparently goes through the familiar process of post-Matrix “rebirth”, as a familiar-sounding voice (but we don’t know who it is) tells you, “This could be the first day of the rest of your life – but if you want it you have to fight for it.” The blue- in dull, menacing Agent-esque tones by Neil Patrick Harris- tells you that you’ve lost the ability to distinguish reality from fiction.

The teasers have something special: they detect the local time of where you are sitting and include it in the voiceover. This results in a fun and creepy touch. Exactly what you expect from the movie. Following is a selection of short, lively clips from the film. Most visual echoes of familiar footage from the first movie are a little different every time you watch, even if you pick the same pill again.
