The main screenwriter of the Assassin’s Creed saga returns to Ubisoft -apkrig

Darby McDevitt became famous thanks to the Assassin’s Creed series. He has been working on it for more than a decade and has already started Assassin’s Creed: Bloodlines and Assassin’s Creed II: Discovery in 2009. Over the course of 10 years in Ubisoft, he gradually grew from an unknown author to a lead writer of the greatest games and narrative director of the whole saga. He also signed the short animated film Assassin’s Creed: Embers. In March this year, however, he left Ubisoft, saying that a completely new adventure awaited him.

He headed to the Montreal studio Illogika, where he worked on the recently announced game based on the horror film Silent Place, as it turned out recently. But he didn’t warm up here for a long time. Maybe the new stall didn’t interest him as he had hoped. In any case, he wished his colleagues good luck, praised the game, saying that he could not wait to play the full version, and he headed back to Ubisoft. He is now back on LinkedIn as a narrative director for an unannounced project, but VGC magazine has confirmed that he has returned to the Assassin’s Creed series.

This news could get some optimism in the veins, as it probably means that it will be involved in a live service sequel called Infinity, and that the game will indeed offer the traditional story elements, as the publisher promised when responding to players’ concerns as to whether it will still be the Assassin they know. Unless, of course, he has another project in charge. Could we look forward to another regular episode of the Assassin’s Creed series before Infinity?
