The leaky design of Google Pixel 6 indicates radical changes
Last year’s Google Pixel 5 smartphone was not exactly a premium model and could be a disappointment for some fans of the brand. That’s why they have much higher expectations from his successor, Google Pixel 6. According to the portal AndroidPolice they can now enjoy in advance its alleged design, which will be radically different from previous generations.
The back of the new generation of Pixels will change radically
Jon Prosser published the new generation images in a YouTube channel video Front Page Tech. The video also confirms that we should wait for up to two models Google Pixel 6 a Google Pixel 6 Pro. The design of the upcoming novelties is practically the same and visually they differ only in their size.
The front should again belong to the display with a hole for a selfie camera and a fingerprint sensor. The sides of the smartphones will be slightly rounded from shiny metal, which will most likely be aluminum. Major changes are only visible on the back. The previous generation had the camera module located in its upper left corner and the sensors were aligned.
The new generation will have three sensors and an LED flash arranged horizontally across the width of the body. At the same time, the camera module will be significantly raised above the other parts of the back across its entire width. This will prevent instability of the smartphone when it is placed on a table.
The camera module should be color-coded from other parts in black. The upper part of the back above it is orange in the pictures. The lower part of the back under the camera module is white again, in the case of the Pixel 6 Pro version with a slight orange tinge. In the center is a capital letter G, which symbolizes Google.
Google is working with Samsung to develop its own chipset for the new Pixels
In addition to a radical design change, we should, according to the portal AndroidPolice another important change in the chipset used. Google Pixel smartphones have been using the chipset of the American chip manufacturer Qualcomm since its inception. For the new generation, however, Google should work with Samsung to develop its own codenamed solution Whitechapel. Google will follow in the footsteps of rival Apple, which is also developing its own chipsets for its iPhones.
