The keynote of the iPhone 13 would be well on its way to be online
You will probably have to expect an online keynote for the presentation of the iPhone 13, as was the case for the iPhone 12, says Mark Gurman. Bloomberg reporter let know in its Power On newsletter that a physical event seems to have started badly in view of the health situation.
Unsurprisingly, the choice of an online and non-physical keynote for the iPhone 13 is linked to Covid-19. Some variants, including the delta variant, do not help and this imposes new rules. Apple, for example, originally planned to return to the office in September. Employees had to come back three days a week, with the rest telecommuting. But Apple has finally decided to postpone the return to the office and impose it from October at best. Employees will therefore remain teleworked during this time.
There is, however, a notable difference between 2020 and 2021. Last year, Apple postponed the presentation and release of its iPhone 12s because the Covid-19 turned the production of phones (and many other products) upside down. . The keynote took place in October and the release took place the same month for two models and in November for the other two. This year, Apple is due to announce and release all of its iPhone 13s in September, as was the case in previous years.
