Microsoft unveils a controller entirely covered in jeans

Microsoft has just lifted the veil on an Xbox Series X / S controller completely covered with a canvas of jeans. Inspired by the famous pants, this original accessory is even equipped with two tiny pockets and a loop for an imaginary belt. Unfortunately, there is no indication that Microsoft plans to market its creation.

This Friday, January 15, 2021, Xbox’s official Twitter account in Canada posted a photo showing an Xbox Series X controller covered in denim canvas, the material that makes up the famous jeans. Microsoft called this astonishing controller “Canadian tuxedo” or “Canadian tuxedo” in French.

It’s a colloquial Canadian expression of someone wearing jeans pants with a jeans shirt, or even a jeans jacket to complete it all. This expression originated in 1951 when Bing Crosby, American singer and actor, was refused entry to a prestigious hotel in Vancouver because of his attire. The artist, considered “The greatest singer in the world” at the time, was dressed in a denim jacket and pants set by Levi Strauss & Co.

An Xbox Series X controller that wears pants

“This Canadian Tuxedo controller is one of a kind” Xbox Canada specifies in its tweet. This original creation should therefore not land on the market. As can be seen in the photo posted on Microsoft, the designers even added tiny little pockets on the jeans canvas covering. It is hard to imagine what we could slip into the pockets in question.

The icing on the cake, Microsoft even added a loop for a small belt. Ultimately, it looks like the Xbox controller has put on tiny pants. This is not the first time that Microsoft has lifted the veil on original editions of its Xbox controllers. The American firm has notably developed Sea of Thieves Limited Edition Xbox One Controller, in homage to a game launched in 2018. What do you think of this all-denim controller? We await your opinion in the comments.
