The horror adventure In Nightmare is reminiscent of Gylt -apkrig
Do you still remember Stadia exclusivity Gylt from 2019 from the Tequila Works studio? Despite initial indications, the latest game from Deadlight or Rime has not yet reached other platforms. But now a similar project has appeared on the horizon. In Nightmare is a new game for PlayStation 4 set in an unpredictable dream world. The developers describe it as a story horror adventure combining sneaking and solving puzzles.
The main character is a young boy who faces his own fears and anxieties. We will avoid monsters and try to escape from the dark world with the help of our own wit. The nightmares come to life here and chase the protagonist at every turn, while he is essentially defenseless. He closed himself off from the outside world and his dream became a prison.
The trauma of the past concerning his family is reflected in the dream world, but with our help he can stand up to his own demons and find light even in the darkness of the nightmare. Interestingly, the fear and subconscious of the main character will materialize his enemies.
The title is behind the Chinese team Magic Fish Studios and was part of Sony’s initiative called the China Hero Project. Its purpose was to expand video games from China to the world. When the game was first released to the public, some players compared it to the logical platformer Little Nightmares from the Tarsier studio, which coincidentally will see the second part in a few days.
In Nightmare will be released this year and the game will be released by Maximum Games. It will sell for less than five hundred. At the moment, this is a PS4 exclusivity. It is uncertain whether the game will receive at least some update for PS5 in the future.
In addition to the current trailer, you can also watch an older demo directly from the game.
