The GOTY edition of Flight Simulator -apkrig will be released in November
Asobo developers have announced through the Xbox Wire portal that they are preparing a special Game of the Year edition of the latest Flight Simulator on November 18th. The most important news is that this edition will be available to all game owners completely free of charge as a big update, which will add already rich content to other planes, cities, sightseeing flights, new tutorials and technological improvements, including an invitation to play DX12 version. The GOTY edition will be available on both computers and the Xbox Series, where the game was celebrated three months ago, but it quickly established itself as one of the best flight games the console has to offer.
In the introduction to the article, Flight Simulator development manager Jorg Neumann summarizes the most important milestones, such as the launch on the PC, the huge increase in interest in the game itself, a number of updates that regularly enriched the game with the above components and of course great success on consoles. All this has led the developers to the idea of creating a GOTY edition, through which they would like to thank the fans for their support and offer them other improvements that will not only concern the content. Nevertheless, the offer of aircraft and cities is very attractive, especially when there is the first official military addition, especially among the aircraft.
In addition to aircraft, players can also look forward to new airports in Europe and the United States.
Yes, you guessed it right, the first of the upcoming aircraft is the F / A-18 Super Hornet, which will play the lead role in the upcoming film Top Gun: Maverick. As you already know from the previous news, the package inspired by the mentioned film is supposed to come into play with the premiere of the film, but due to the delay, everything is unpleasantly delayed and the developers do not want to keep players waiting disproportionately long. They therefore decided to add the aircraft at least as is and allow the Flight Simulator players a little supersonic fun. Other machines will be the VoloCity volunteer, the Pilatus PC-6 Porter short-run takeoff specialist, the NX Cub and, last but not least, the single-seater variant of the popular Aviat Pitts Special aircraft.
In addition to aircraft, players can also look forward to new airports in Europe and the United States. These are the airports near the German cities of Leipzig, Memmingen and Kassel, as well as the Swiss airports near Lugano, Zurich and Lucerne, and the American Patrick Space Force Base and the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar. At the same time, the developers promise to make available in the United States another 545 airports, which were still missing from the game. Hand in hand with the newly developed take-off and arrival points, the developers will also improve some cities, such as Helsinki, Freiburg, Brighton, Newcastle or, for example, Utrecht, and you can expect six new sightseeing flights, building on the success of the existing ones. The last content addition concerns tutorials that the developers have decided to enrich with 14 new lessons, which will take a closer look at the piloting of the ICON A5 ultralight aircraft and introduce IFR flights in a properly equipped Cessna 172.
In terms of technological improvements, the people of Asobo want to give players the opportunity to try out Flight Simulator with the DX12 API capabilities and provide everyone with a redesigned weather model and more sophisticated tools for shooting replay. All this will be complemented by a special in the form of 11 selected interesting places on our planet, which will be illuminated by the typical blue of the mentioned operating system in honor of the launch of Windows 11, and to make matters worse, you can fly over them in the Extra 330LT aircraft. new windows 11 paint available.
