The Galaxy Z Fold 3 has a serious screen problem, it cracks right after the end of the warranty!

A strange conspiracy theory is currently hitting Galaxy Z Fold 3 owners. On Reddit, several testimonies indicate that the screen of their smartphone has cracked, often in the same place. However, the problem occurred shortly after the end of the warranty and, what is more, without the phone having suffered a blow or a fall.

At first glance, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is one of the toughest smartphones on the market. Nothing more normal: at this price, we can expect that Samsung has made efforts to avoid breaking the device at the slightest shock. Also, there is reason to wonder when several members of Reddit testify in unison the same screen problem, which occurred more or less at the same time.

“After 15 months of use, I opened the screen to show it to a friend who was interested and heard a cracking sound when it opened almost fully, along the center crease”thus writes the user Snoo_23916before specifying that his smartphone never fell once. “The right screen no longer responds to any input, the left one does.”

Does Samsung let its Galaxy Z Fold 3 die right after the warranty expires?

Problem: Snoo’s misadventure is not an isolated case. In another post, the user Mizderrung describes precisely the same problem, which for its part arose only 3 months after purchase. Unfortunately for him, Samsung claims that he had to drop the smartphone to cause this kind of damage, while the person concerned maintains that this is not the case.

According to testimonies, the cost of repairs is estimated between 700 and 800 dollars, more than half the price of the Galaxy Z Fold 3. This is all the more infuriating that for many, the problem arose shortly after the end of the warranty. For the time being, it is still too early to say that this is indeed a manufacturing defect, even more of a concern knowingly left there by Samsung.

Still, it’s abouta matter to watch closely. It would not be the first time that a series of malfunctions have been triggered simultaneously with users.
