The Samsung Chat 350 was released in 2011 and was also referred to as Samsung Ch@t 350. The phone was extremely well suited for those who were busy with sending messages. Because we did that enough in 2011, via SMS. With the Samsung you also had quick access to social networks such as Facebook. You could immediately send a message to the world thanks to the widget that could be placed on the home screen. This widget could also indicate how many messages you had open. Samsung had also developed a widget for Twitter. There were also instant messengers and of course your email.

Samsung had also equipped the Chat 350 with some useful additions, which we knew from other Samsung models, such as the Samsung S8300 UltraTOUCH. Consider the possibility of posting a fake call. With Fake Call, the phone could pretend to be called. You could also send SOS messages with the phone. The Samsung Chat 350 also let you download apps from the Samsung Apps Store. For example, you could download eBuddy to go on MSN. All this went through the 2G network, because WiFi was not available on the device.

Let’s take a look at the specifications of the Samsung Chat 350. The phone naturally stood out because of the full QWERTY keyboard that consisted of four rows. Samsung had also equipped the phone with a 2.4-inch resistive touchscreen. So this did not respond to the warmth of fingers like today’s screens, but to a precise touch with, for example, your nail.

The Chat 350 also offered a Bluetooth connection, FM radio on board, a Micro-USB port and a 2 megapixel camera for taking pictures. You could save your files on the internal memory of 20MB. You could expand that memory with a memory card. The battery capacity of the Samsung came out at 960 mAh. Samsung released the device for about 125 euros.

Samsung Chat 350 summarized in 3 points:

  • Full-fledged keyboard
  • Access to social networks and Apps Store
  • 2 megapixel camera
